National Berlin Sound Design Contest-Submissions

2021

Berlin Sound Design Contest was a space-inspired short film in which we had to interpret our own vision through foley, sound effects, and music. This contest was really fun to work on and I loved creating sound effects especially through Foley. I was really passionate about pushing myself to think outside the box.

Driven is a short film about a paraplegic man named Mario who designed a set of handles for the steering wheel of his racecar so that he can still drive despite his disability, with hopes to one day race professionally with NASCAR. Mario was such an inspiration, and the more time I spent with him the more I believed his story was important to share. Having a director who appreciated sound and valued how significant a component it was to a film like this made this film particularly enjoyable to be a part of.

Mattia Cellotto Contest-Submission

Mattia Cellotto Contest was a sound design contest. We were given a video and we had to create sounds that we felt best fit the small animation.

Role: Sound Designer

Oscar Finsinnger

With this project, I was able to create my own sounds in the Foley room, cutting, altering, and utilizing my sounds to create a soundscape that would go along with the image that was created by Oscar Fishinger. The intention was to show how each person's version of the piece could be completely different, although we all had the same image.

Frankenstein Animation Sound Design Project

This project, created by the School of Cinematic Arts animation department at USC, was mapped at the Dohene Library. I had the opportunity to sound design several scenes in the story, and it was a challenge I really enjoyed. Being able to record and create personal sounds for specific scenes helped me develop a new appreciation for sound design and animated films. This project provided me with an experience to work with animated storytelling, a medium I hadn't explored before.
